It's Christmas time at the Chatterton's

For those of you who didn't know....we got a little Shih Tzu named "Thor" (Early Christmas present...I can't surprise Jeremy anyways and he has been wanting a dog really bad) Thor is soo cute and we love him and can't image what we did before we had a dog to keep us company.

He LOVES our love sac so I put a blanket on it for easier washing- he loves to chew on his bones or toys and really prefers it over every other place in the house. We were going to get rid of it so he would have more room to play, but I think that would actually devastate the poor thing. lol

My little brother got MARRIED! Crazy! They are so cute- this is a candid of them, but I just like that you can see Greg's fun black shoes with his pink laces.

Jeremy and I- we love going to sealing's at the Salt Lake City Temple and reminiscing about our love :)

This is our Christmas tree lit up at night, You can see it not lit up with the picture of Thor but I LOVE Christmas and I was so excited to put up our tree I put it up 2 weeks before Thanksgiving...Jeremy gave me grief about it but hey I'm still not sick of the tree being up. It's my favorite holiday and I am sooo glad I got such a good deal last year after the season so I could have such a beautiful tree! We are soo blessed and happy. Life is good! :)

Mexican Cruise 2011

To Start off our Cruise Jeremy laid in the comfy bed and watch our little tv- he watched a scary movie and this was an intense scene. Thought it was a funny picture. This will probably be a long post with lots of pictures but I want to blog them so if you get bored that understandable.

Halloween night on our way to dinner. You can't tell in these pictures but I was super sea sick and right as my meal came I had to leave and go to the room. We had a little plane on our flight to LA and it made me super sick and then the boat moving and me not being used to it didn't help.

Our Cruise Ship

We rented a golf cart and went around the Island. One of the Views.

Jer in the Golf Cart- not old enough to drive it (you had to be 25)

I took the following pictures in succession with one of our towel animals. It was a FROG! So I thought it would be cute to show me kissing my frog and it turning into my PRINCE CHARMING :) Awwww ;

We went to a few shows, Comedy shows, and a Showtunes show, and a Game of Love that was super funny.

On the Cruise Ship

Last night of the Cruise....SO sad! I was enjoying the no worries. I didn't have to answer my phone of email or anything! No service. It was really nice. And we had a lot of fun just relaxing on the cruise ship and eating lots and lots of Pineapple.  IT WAS SOOOO GOOOOD! We ate a ton of it.

Jeremy studying for his test that he had the day we got back.

Ensanada Mexico

There were Seals outside the boat, they were making lots of noise and they STUNK. And the cute little tiger cub was there to take pictures with but it cost $25 dollars to take pictures WITH it so I just took a picture of it.

Funny poses in our room with our towel animal

Bunny!!!

Bunny and a coke- I LOVE Diet Coke!

Waiting for a Comedy show to start.

Now we are home and back to real life....We both still feel like we are rocking. It's really weird, I am glad that I'll get a good nights sleep finally! I'm also glad that Jeremy is so cute and thought to plan such a fun trip for us to go on. He is so sweet.

Little Mermaid

A couple months ago Jer and I went down to St. George for a night to see "The Little Mermaid" at the Tuachan Theater. It was really good! The stage was flooded with water, and there was a water screen (hard to explain) but it gave the feeling that everything was under water. I really enjoyed it! Awesome show! I love my husband and all the things he does to make me happy! :)

JEREMY'S BIRTHDAY!!! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JER!
LOVE OF MY LIFE!
Jeremy is turning 23! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE! ! ! I am so grateful for having the love of my life by my side. I hope that he has a wonderful Birthday. He seems to get all of his present's early and I only have a few little surprises for him. He got some really nice binoculars' already (for the HUNT). He is my best friend and I'm SO lucky to have someone to share my life with. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful, righteous man, he understands me, loves me for me and I could spend all of my time with him. He also helps me to be adventurous and I LOVE that about him!

It's really been cold outside already and it's only the beginning of October....
I'm just grateful that it wasn't this cold when we were hunting. Jeremy got a deer with his muzzleloader tag this past week. He was really excited after days and days of seeing NOTHING we finally saw a buck! It was really an answer to my prayer's...(I was really car sick and I wanted to be done) and we had Cierra (she was the good luck charm I think).

My Birthday ELK!

So this year on my birthday I was so lucky as to draw a big bull elk tag. Opening day was Sept. 17th. MY birthday. 25. Yuck. I feel like I'm getting old.
One of the hikes sitting and listening, it was really pretty up there

Sooo.... This was such a crazy experience. So to start off the week, Jer and his dad went scouting for me on Tuesday (I was sick) and did not see any elk, they saw deer and moose though. LOL. Then on Thursday Dan talked to a really nice guy who told us where a bunch of elk were. So we headed there for our scouting adventure at 5 am. We saw elk cows and one big bull elk across a ravine. We heard other elk and decided this was a good bet on finding an elk. I guess seeing elk is not all that easy or normal. As we got up at 5 am on my birthday, cold, rainy and foggy. We got to the spot where we had spotted the elk and only heard elk, we hiked up and down the mountain, across the ravine and it just felt like we were going in circles. The elk to me were like "the other's" from lost...I knew they were there but we couldn't see any. So after not seeing any elk we went back to camp for a little nap. We ate lunch and got back out there, we hiked around an area we were told about and saw elk poo and tracks, and we did see a deer on our hike.

Very Pretty

awww

Then we decided to go back to the spot where we had actually heard elk. We decided to sit and watch the spot where we had seen the bull elk. We sat there FOREVER. 3 hours or so.
He thinks he is signing my age 25....however he is signing the number 8.

Where we sat

We had about given up, it was starting to get darker as the sun had about 15 minutes left of light. We were to the truck and Dan gave one last bugle. And there it was an elk that wasn't too far away. We kept bugling, and heading towards the sound. I saw the elk for a split second through the tree's. Then we had to bugle and look for it some more. I could see the body of the elk the best, I could not tell how many antler's he had, he sounded big, his body was big and he had been scrapping his antlers on the tree so I decided to shoot it. After the first shot it came running towards us that is probably one of the scariest moments of my life! After a second shot it was down. When we got up to the elk it was HUGE! Boy am I lucky!

I can't believe we got it like we did. We ran into a lot of problems trying to drag it to the road. We had to get it behind a four-wheeler and even that was hard! Dan and Jeremy did the gross part. SO glad I didn't have to do that. (By the way, there was a cow mooing really loud the entire time, it was kindof creepy, he was really close to us and after the elk died he went right up to the elk...)

Then we had to figure out a way to get it up into the truck, then it was sticking out pretty far. Man it was so crazy all that we had to do even after and we still have work. But it was a great new experience for me and I'm really happy and know that we were blessed to find this elk and to be able to figure everything out that we needed to. It had 7 point's! Yay for being 25! What a birthday gift, I got it opening day and everything. I'm also very grateful to Dan and Teri and Cierra. They helped SO much. Dan was great and he bugled for me and helped me to get this elk, I couldn't have done it without him. And I think Cierra is the coolest sister ever! She is such a great sport and so tough! Wish I could be more like her!

All of us and the elk

Me, Jer, the elk and his sweet truck!

Our Cabin

Well it's fun to dream... We were at a crafts store for Jeremy's photography class, we were there for paint to paint the frames he was putting his pictures in for his class....And I got distracted by a cabin, we started shopping for paint for the cabin, we found the tree, bear, letter's for the roof, elk and cowboy boot...Jeremy really wanted a fish and the only fish there was as big as the bear so I told him I'd find him a fishy for our cabin. We painted it together over a few days and I don't know if he had as much fun as me, but I LOVED doing this project together. I went to hobby lobby and searched and found the fish, pole, it had a lantern and on the side (you can't see) there is a basket and a fishing net with another fish! Worth the wait I must say. Anyways, I love Jeremy so much and I'm so glad that he acted excited about this silly project and that we can do fun dorky things like this together! Someday maybe we'll build a real cabin together. :)
